Audi har gått ut med ett pressmeddelande där de berättar att Apple CarPlay kommer finnas i modeller som släpps under nästa år här i Europa medan de amerikanska bilköparna får vänta tills 2016 innan de får tillgång till iOS i bilen.
Audi will begin offering Apple CarPlay, the smarter, safer and more fun way to use iPhone in the car, in all-new models scheduled to arrive in Europe next year and in U.S. showrooms by 2016.
CarPlay will integrate with Audi’s built-in controls, including the innovative Audi MMI touch system, as well as dial controls and voice controls to easily activate Siri. This gives Audi drivers a variety of ways to minimize distraction on the road while accessing their iPhone to make calls, use Maps, listen to music and send or receive messages.
Om du inte har planer eller möjlighet att köpa en ny bil för att få tillgång till Apple CarPlay har både Pioneer och Alpine meddelat att de kommer med fristående enheter för detta ändamål. Tyvärr ser det inte ut som att Apple CarPlay kommer fungera i Sverige till att börja med då Siri fortfarande inte förstår svenska.
