Embargot att skriva recensioner av iPhone 5 för de nyhetssajter som fick sina enheter direkt efter eventet har nu släppts och ett stort antal recensioner har släppts. Här kommer länkar och utdrag från några av dessa.
Överlag kan man säga att alla är nöjda och imponerade av både hur tunn och solid den känns samt snabbheten i iOS 6. Många kommenterar också hur mycket bättre kameran faktiskt blivit.
Något man slås av är att de som faktiskt använt iPhone 5 berömmer den till skillnad mot de journalister som konstaterade att den var en besvikelse bara genom att följa en keynote.

The most important point of Apple’s larger iPhone screen is that it’s not too large. I know that sounds strange, but bigger is not always better. If the screen is so big that you can’t comfortably operate the iPhone 5 with one hand, then Apple would have failed.
But they didn’t. I am able to easily navigate through the iPhone 5 menus and options using one hand. My thumb reaches the top of the screen to tap on options and hit the back button without shuffling the phone in my hand.

- It feels great, looks great, has the best display I’ve seen at any size, runs noticeably faster, networks noticeably faster, is way thinner and lighter than any of its predecessors, takes better photos, and, in my six days of testing, gets totally decent iPhone-4S-level battery life.

Apple boasted during last week’s event that they now measure the precision of the iPhone 5 assembly in microns. A micron is one-millionth of a meter. Reading the press coverage since the unveiling, you may have heard that the iPhone 5 is disappointing, or boring. Those people, quite frankly, are fools. They either haven’t actually used the device, or only played with it for a few minutes in the hands-on area after last week’s event. (Or worse, they’re projecting their own boredom in their jobs due to Apple’s dominance of the tech scene these past few years.) Using a device on a regular basis is what really matters.
